Q. Is it hard to care for?
No. In some ways it is easier than carpet. Carpet will get stains and spots that you can remove but this is sometimes only a short term solution due to the spots reappearing. With wood floors, you simply dry mop and then use a special cleaner.
Q. What type of preparation is required?
Wood flooring manufacturers all have very specific guidelines that dictate how the surface, that the wood actually gets placed on, is treated and how level it must be. Once our installation experts pull up carpet or other flooring, we will be able to tell you exactly what needs to be done if anything. This could include grinding or floating in order that the surface is as level as the manufacturer has dictated.
Q. Is it cost effective? Can it increase the value of my home?
Yes. Wood flooring is an excellent long term investment for increasing the value of your home. Wood does, and laminates to a lesser degree. There are many price ranges and options and we will be happy to discuss your needs with you.
