Easy to care for
Hardwood floor care is basically similar to that of laminate flooring. It only needs regular sweeping, spot cleaning when needed, and less frequently, cleaning with a wood floor cleaner and a very slightly damp mop.

Hardwood gives you other options beyond just replacement
Lightly sand and re-coat the finish (also called screen and coat). This is a topical application and repair. The benefit of this is that you don't have to replace or sand your floor. This is a very important maintenance step in keeping your wood floors looking beautiful for years to come.

Actually sand, re-stain and refinish the wood. This will level your floor or take off the top stain so that you can then re-stain in the same or a different color. In this way, you can also change the color of your wood floor to match a change in your home decor.
